If you look on the trees though there should be a bunch of those shells. I just went out to hang clothes and one was hanging there. They say they will not hurt anyone, but they sure look prehistoric. I haven't heard them but then, I spend a lot of time inside because the sweat bees are running (flying) rampant around here and a sweat bee is what sent me to the emergency room last year!! Yes, Harley Rose and Peanut do look a lot alike!!! Aren't they sweet dogs? Peanut spends a lot of time on my lap when I'm watching TV. Last night we had a storm so she slept in bed (well, paced until I tackled her and held her in a lock position to keep her still on the bed) .. she is terrified of thunder! Oh, cool .. you had a live one, I had a shell of a cicada.
