Geesh, does time fly. I have been so busy keeping up with the chores outside I have had a hard time getting anything done inside like sitting down here and writing. First off we’re OK, we did not flood! Thank you so much for thinking of me! We ended up with 6 inches of rain which is really nice- my lawn if finally green again- but I do feel for the people who did have so much. My nephew just moved to Winona for college, and he’s on the football team and rather than practice they have been sand bagging to help out.

So, OLS has been thrown together in spurts here and there so this week is a bit sloppy. Fresh cucumbers w/dill in homemade mayo and squash from the garden, and more than one night has been arugula pesto over potatoes from the garden or noodles bought from my food coop. I have 27 cups of pesto froze right now and a ton more coming in the garden to process, along with a new batch of lettuce that is comming along wonderfully since the rain.
I have surprise company coming today! My aunt I haven’t seen in 3 years is coming from the twin cities for the night and we plan on having a good local meal tonight. I will share more of our meal and visit hopefully tomorrow if I have time.
27 cups of pesto–I am abashed. I have to get my pesto machine going.
