Bus crash 10 miles from home killing 4 kids

Dirt on what’s left of the snow.

I just like the formations in the snow I guess

Nice rig!
That photo of the bus crash just haunts me. I had forgotten that was in your neck of the woods. I used to drive that stretch of 23 fairly often, on my way from the cities to Brookings, SD.
You actually saw the bus?? Wow! That was a very tragic happening. We had not heard about it but niece Cookie called to reasure us that Binni was with her, not on a bus, because - at that time - no one knew which bus it was. We did turn on the news and were glad to know that she was safe!
I like your truck! Good luck and keep in touch - if you are ever traveling through Storden at meal or coffee time, call and we will meet you at the Drive-Inn.
I do NOT like your thermometer! Ours was the same that day and it was horribly miserable.
Have fun with Cookie today - give her my love - and love to you, too!!
Blessings
Connie- Agreed on the temp! Glad it was short lived! I know I am counting down till the first day of spring! I will let you know if I come through town.
Deb- You wouldn’t believe the rubber neckers that are stopped on the highway just to see the skid marks-just like a circus…
Too much bad juju around there these days, so I have been cutting over to hwy59 to go to Marshall…
That’s so sad about the kids. We’ve been getting lots of snow over the past few days, but it’s almost gone now. Lots of people skitterinhg all over the highways. It’s going to warm up and maybe hit us again in a few days.
New truck is sweet!
Hi Manerva-
I followed you home from Earth Home Garden!
Thanks for the visit and the nice comment.
I love the picture of your chickens looking in the door and the cat staring back…
And that is a nice looking rig you’ve got there but I’m glad I don’t have to fill up the tank. ;~)
That school bus accident was a horrific tragedy for everyone involved, I even feel sorry for the immigrant girl that caused the whole thing.
Like the loved ones of the children, she has to live with that for the rest of her life.
You horse’s muzzle made my morning all warm & fuzzy too.
Wow, girl, look at you with the huge truck! Powere to the Femme! hehe
19 degrees below??!!! What am I whining about around here, then? The lowest it’s gotten is 5 degrees below. I don’t think I’m tough enough…not as tough as you anyway! haha
What a tragic haunting bus accident……
